इस्लाम का भविष्य क्या होगा ?

मुसलमान अक्सर अपनी बढ़ती जनसंख्या की डींगें मारते रहते है .और घमंड से कहते हैं कि आज तो हमारे 53 देश हैं .आगे चलकर इनकी संख्या और बढ़ेगी .इस्लाम दुनिया भर में फ़ैल जायेगा .विश्व ने जितने भी धर्म स्थापक हुए हैं ,सभी ने अपने मत के बढ़ने की कामना की है .लेकिन मुहम्मद एकमात्र व्यक्ति था जिसने इस्लाम के विभाजन ,तुकडे हो जाने और सिमट जाने की पहिले से ही भविष्यवाणी कर दी थी .यह बात सभी प्रमाणिक हदीसों में मौजूद है .

यदि कोई इन हदीसों को झूठ कहता है ,तो उसे मुहम्मद को झूठ साबित करना पड़ेगा .क्योंकि यह इस्लाम के भविष्य के बारे में है .सभी जानते हैं कि किसी आदर्श ,या नैतिकता के आधार पर नहीं बल्कि तलवार के जोर पर और आतंक से फैला है .इस्लाम कि बुनियाद खून से भरी है .और कमजोर है .मुहम्मद यह जानता था .कुरान में साफ लिखा है –

1-इस्लाम की बुनियाद कमजोर है
कुछ ऐसे मुसलमान हैं ,जिन्होंने मस्जिदें इस लिए बनायीं है ,कि लोगों को नुकसान पहुंचाएं ,और मस्जिदों को कुफ्र करने वालों के लिए घात लगाने और छुपाने का स्थान बनाएं .यह ऐसे लोग हैं ,जिन्होंने अपनी ईमारत (इस्लाम )की बुनियाद किसी खाई के खोखले कगार पर बनायीं है ,जो जल्द ही गिरने के करीब है .फिर जल्द ही यह लोग जहन्नम की आग में गिर जायेंगे “सूरा -अत तौबा 9 :108 और 109

2 –इस्लाम से पहिले विश्व में शांति थी .यद्यपि इस्लाम से पूर्व भी अरब आपस में मारकाट किया करते थे ,लेकिन जब वह मुसलमान बन गए तो और भी हिंसक और उग्र बन गए .जैसे जैसे उनकी संख्या बढ़ती गयी उनका आपसी मनमुटाव और विवाद भी बढ़ाते गए .वे सिर्फ जिहाद में मिलने वाले माल के लिए एकजुट हो जाते थे .फिर किसी न किसी बात पर फिर लड़ने लगते थे ,शिया सुनी विवाद इसका प्रमाण है .
इसके बारे में मुहमद के दामाद हजरत अली ने अपने एक पत्र में मुआविया को जो लिखा है उसका अरबी के साथ हिंदी और अंगरेजी अनुवाद दिया जा रहा है –

3 –हजरत अली का मुआविया को पत्र
हजरत अली का यह पत्र संख्या 64 है उनकी किताब” नहजुल बलाग “में मौजूद है .

यह बात बिलकुल सत्य है कि,इस्लाम से पहिले हम सब एक थे .और अरब में सबके साथ मिल कर शांति से रह रहे थे .तुमने (मुआविया )महसूस किया होगा कि ,जैसे ही इस्लाम का उदय हुआ ,लोगों में फूट और मनमुटाव बढ़ाते गए .इसका कारण यह है ,कि एक तरफ हम लोगों को शांति का सन्देश देते रहे ,और दूसरी तरफ तुम मुनाफिक(Hypocryt )ही बने रहे ,और इस्लाम के नाम पर पाखंड और मनमर्जी चलाते रहे.तुमने अपने पत्र में मुझे तल्हा और जुबैर की हत्या का आरोपी कहा है .मुझे उस पर कोई सफ़ाई देने की जरुरत नहीं है .लेकिन तुमने आयशा के साथ मिलकर मुझे मदीना से कूफा और बसरा जाने पर विवश कर दिया ,तुमने जो भी आरोप लगाये हैं ,निराधार है ,और मैं किसी से भी माफ़ी नहीं मांगूंगा “

ومن كتاب له عليه السلام
كتبه إلى معاوية، جواباً عن كتاب منه
أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَإِنَّا كُنَّا نَحْنُ وَأَنْتُمْ عَلَى مَا ذَكَرْتَ مِنَ الاَُْلْفَةِ وَالْجَمَاعَةِ، فَفَرَّقَ بيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَمْسِ أَنَّا آمَنَّا وَكَفَرْتُمْ، وَالْيَوْمَ أَنَّا اسْتَقَمْنَا وَفُتِنْتُمْ، وَمَا أَسْلَمَ مُسْلِمُكُمْ إِلاَّ كَرْهاً وَبَعْدَ أَنْ كَانَ أَنْفُ الاِِْسْلاَمِكُلُّهُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وآله حرباً
وَذَكَرْتَ أَنِّي قَتَلْتُ طَلْحَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرَ، وَشَرَّدْتُ بِعَائِشَةَ وَنَزَلْتُ بَيْنَ الْمِصْرَيْنِ وَذلِكَ أَمْرٌ غِبْتَ عَنْهُ، فَلاَ عَلَيْكَ، وَلاَ الْعُذْرُ فِيهِ إِلَيْكَ
[ A reply to Mu’awiya’s letter. ]
It is correct as you say that in pre-Islamic days we were united and at peace with each other. But have you realized that dissensions and disunity between us started with the dawn of Islam. The reason was that we accepted and preached Islam and you remained heathen. The condition now is that we are faithful and staunch followers of Islam and you have revolted against it. Even your original acceptance was not sincere, it was simple hypocrisy. When you saw that all the big people of Arabia had embraced Islam and had gathered under the banner of the Holy Prophet (s) you also walked in (after the Fall of Makkah.)
In your letter you have falsely accused me of killing Talha and Zubayr, driving Ummul Mu’minin Aisha from her home at Madina and choosing Kufa and Basra as my residence. Even if all that you say against me is correct you have nothing to do with them, you are not harmed by these incidents and I have not to apologize to you for any of them.
4 –इस्लाम का विभाजन
इस्लाम के पूर्व से ही अरब के लोग दूसरों को लूटने और आपसी शत्रुता के कारण लड़ते रहते थे .लेकिन मुसलमान बन जाने पर उनको लड़ने और हत्याएं करने के लिए धार्मिक आधार मिल गया .वह अक्सर अपने विरोधियों को मुशरिक ,मुनाफिक और काफ़िर तक कहने लगे और खुद को सच्चा मुसलमान बताने लगे .और अपने हरेक कुकर्मों को कुरान की किसी भी आयत या किसी भी हदीस का हवाला देकर जायज बताने लगे .धीमे धीमे सत्ता का विवाद धार्मिक रूप धारण करता गया .मुहम्मद की मौत के बाद ही यह विवाद इतना उग्र हो गया की मुसलमानों ने ही मुहम्मद के दामाद अली ,और उनके पुत्र हसन हुसैन को परिवार सहित क़त्ल कर दिया .उसके बाद ही इस्लाम के टुकडे होना शुरू हो गए .जिसके बारे में खुद मुहम्मद ने भविष्यवाणी की थी .-
अबू हुरैरा ने कहा कि,रसूल ने कहा था कि यहूदी और ईसाई तो 72 फिरकों में बँट जायेंगे ,लेकिन मेरी उम्मत 73 फिरकों में बँट जाएगी ,और सब आपस में युद्ध करेंगे “अबू दाऊद-जिल्द 3 किताब 40 हदीस 4579
अबू अमीर हौजानी ने कहा कि ,रसूल ने मुआविया बिन अबू सुफ़यान के सामने कहा कि ,अहले किताब (यहूदी ,ईसाई ) के 72 फिरके हो जायेंगे ,और मेरी उम्मत के 73 फिरके हो जायेंगे ..और उन में से 72 फिरके बर्बाद हो जायेंगे और जहन्नम में चले जायेंगे .सिर्फ एक ही फिरका बाकी रहेगा ,जो जन्नत में जायेगा “अबू दाऊद -जिल्द 3 किताब 40 हदीस 4580 .
अबू हुरैरा ने कहा कि ,रसूल ने कहा कि ,ईमान के 72 से अधिक टुकडे हो जायेंगे ,और मुसलमानों में ऐसी फूट पड़ जाएगी कि वे एक दुसरे कीहत्याएं करेंगे .”
अबू दाऊद -जिल्द 3 किताब 40 हदीस 4744 .
अरफजः ने कहा कि मैं ने रसूल से सुना है ,कि इस्लाम में इतना बिगाड़ हो जायेगा कि ,मुसलमान एक दुसरे के दुश्मन बन जायेंगे ,और तलवार लेकर एक दुसरे को क़त्ल करेंगे “अबू दाऊद -जिल्द 3 किताब 40 हदीस 4153 .
सईदुल खुदरी और अनस बिन मालिक ने कहा कि ,रसूल ने कहा कि ,पाहिले तो मुसलमान इकट्ठे हो जायेंगे ,लेकिन जल्द ही उनमें फूट पड़ जाएगी .जो इतनी उग्र हो जाएगी कि वे जानवरों से बदतर बन जायेगे .फिर केवल वही कौम सुख से जिन्दा रह सकेगी जो इनको इन को ( नकली मुसलमानों )को क़त्ल कर देगी .फिर अनस ने रसूल से उस कौम की निशानी पूछी जो कामयाब होगी .तो रसुलने बताया कि,उस कौम के लोगों के सर मुंडे हुए होंगे .और वे पूरब से आयेंगे “अबू दाऊद-जिल्द 3 किताब 40 हदीस 4747 .
5 –इस्लाम के प्रमुख फिरके
आमतौर पर लोग मुसलमानों के दो ही फिरकों शिया और सुन्नी के बारे में ही सुनते रहते है ,लेकिन इनमे भी कई फिरके है .इसके आलावा कुछ ऐसे भी फिरके है ,जो इन दौनों से अलग है .इन सभी के विचारों और मान्यताओं में इतना विरोध है की यह एक दूसरे को काफ़िर तक कह देते हैं .और इनकी मस्जिदें जला देते है .और लोगों को क़त्ल कर देते है .शिया लोग तो मुहर्रम के समय सुन्नियों के खलीफाओं ,सहबियों ,और मुहम्मद की पत्नियों आयशा और हफ्शा को खुले आम गलियां देते है .इसे तबर्रा कहा जाता है .इसके बारे में अलग से बताया जायेगा .
सुन्नियों के फिरके -हनफी ,शाफई,मलिकी ,हम्बली ,सूफी ,वहाबी ,देवबंदी ,बरेलवी ,सलफी,अहले हदीस .आदि –
शियाओं के फिरके -इशना अशरी ,जाफरी ,जैदी ,इस्माइली ,बोहरा ,दाऊदी ,खोजा ,द्रुज आदि
अन्य फिरके -अहमदिया ,कादियानी ,खारजी ,कुर्द ,और बहाई अदि
इन सब में इतना अंतर है की ,यह एक दुसरे की मस्जिदों में नमाज नहीं पढ़ते .और एक दुसरे की हदीसों को मानते है .सबके नमाज पढ़ने का तरीका ,अजान ,सब अलग है .इनमे एकता असंभव है .संख्या कम होने के से यह शांत रहते हैं ,लेकिन इन्हें जब भी मौका मिलाता है यह उत्पात जरुर करते हैं .
6 –इस्लाम अपने बिल में घुस जायेगा
मुहम्मद ने खुद ही इस्लाम की तुलना एक विषैले नाग से की है .इसमे कोई दो राय नहीं है .सब जानते हैं कि यह इस्लामी जहरीला नाग कितने देशों को डस चुका है .और भारत कि तरफ भी अपना फन फैलाकर फुसकार रहा है .लेकिन हम हिन्दू इतने मुर्ख हैं कि सेकुलरिज्म ,के नामपर ,और झूठे भाईचारे के बहाने इस इस्लामी नाग को दूध पिला रहे हैं .और तुष्टिकरण की नीतियों को अपना कर आराम से सो रहे है .आज इस बात की जरुरत है की ,हम सब मिल कर मुहम्मद की इस भविष्यवाणी को सच्चा साबित करदें ,जो उसने इन हदीसों में की थीं .-
अबू हुरैरा ने कहा की ,रसूल ने कहा कि,निश्चय ही एक दिन इस्लाम सारे विश्व से निकल कर कर मदीना में में सिमट जायेगा .जैसे एक सांप घूमफिर कर वापिस अपने बिल में घुस जाता है बुखारी -जिल्द 3 किताब 30 हदीस 100 .
अब्दुल्ला बिन अम्र बिन यासर ने कहा कि ,रसूल ने कहा कि ,जल्द ही एक ऐसा समत आयेगा कि जब लोग कुरान तो पढेंगे ,लेकिन कुरान उनके गले से आगे कंधे से निचे नहीं उतरेगी.और इस्लाम का कहीं कोई निशान नहीं दिखाई देगा “
बुखारी -जिल्द 9 किताब 84 हदीस 65
अबू हुरैरा ने कहा कि ,रसूल ने कहा है कि ,इस्लाम सिर्फ दो मस्जिदों (मक्का और मदीना )के बीच इस तरह से रेंगता रहेगा जैसे कोई सांप इधर उधर दो बिलों के बीच में रेंगता है “
सही मुस्लिम -किताब 1 हदीस 270 .
इब्ने उमर ने कहा कि ,रसूल ने कहा कि ऐसा निकट भविष्य में होना निश्चय है ,कि इस्लाम और ईमान दुनिया से निकलकर वापस मदीने में इस तरह से घुस जायेगा ,जैसे कोई विषैला सांप मुड़कर अपने ही बिल में घुस जाता है “
सही मुस्लिम -किताब 1 हदीस 271 और 272 .
अब हम देखते हैं कि मुसलमान इन हदीसों को झूठ कैसे साबित करते है . आज लीबिया ,यमन और दूसरे इस्लामी देशों में जो कुछ हो रहा है ,उसे देखते हुए यही प्रतीत होता है कि मुहम्मद साहिब की यह हदीसें एक दिन सच हो जायेगीं ,जिनमे इस्लाम के पतन और विखंडन की भविष्यवाणी की गयी है .!

Sun sets in muddy water says Allah

In my last article “Quran- The word of God” we saw that there are many verses in Quran, which has human origins, or are written by the self-proclaimed Prophet of Islam himself. We also discussed how Allah challenges Non-Believers to find errors and discrepancies in Quran. In this article I’ll try to give at least one irrefutable evidence from Quran, which proves that Quran has error, discrepancies, and its author was too weak in general science to be the Lord of this Universe.

Famous Indian Televangelist Zakir Naik have tried his best to answer this particular question which we are about to discuss with his silly and illogical arguments, and other Islamic scholars have written lengthy articles to defend this unscientific statement of Allah mentioned in Quran, but they have failed miserably. This devastating error in Holy Book of Islam is that, as per the lord of Muslims, ‘Allah’, our Sun Sets In Some Dirty Muddy Pool or River? I mean, will any sane person ever believe such book to be a word of God? Now I will present the evidences from canonical Islamic scriptures to prove that indeed in reality Allah, or the author of Quran believed that Sun sets somewhere in Western part of this earth in some Muddy (Murky) pool, river or pond. Let’s begin by reading the verse from Quran 18:86, which says:

Until, when he reached the setting place of the sun, he found it setting in a spring of black muddy (or hot) water. And he found near it a people. We (Allah) said (by inspiration): “O Dhul-Qarnain! Either you punish them, or treat them with kindness.”

I don’t intent to hurt feelings of Muslims, but is Allah even Junior School pass? We all know for sure that Sun is much, much bigger than earth and it is also millions of KM away from earth, so how can we expect the sun to set in black muddy water. Muslim scholars defend this error by claiming that it appeared to ‘Dhul- Qarnain’ that sun is setting in the muddy water. No issue I have done my home work, let’s read what one of the earliest Tafsir, by the companion of Prophet Muhammad writes about this verse.

Tafsir Ibn Abbas [18:86]: 
(Till, when he reached the setting place of the sun) where the sun sets, (he found it setting in a muddy spring) a blackened, muddy and stinking spring; it is also said that this means: a hot spring, (and found a people thereabout) these people were disbelievers: (We said: O Dhu’l-Qarnayn!) We inspired him (Either punish) either kill them until they accept to believe that there is no deity except Allah (or show them kindness) or you pardon them and let them be.

It is not difficult to understand the verse, it simply says that as per Allah, when Dhul-Qarnain (Alexander The Great) reached the setting place of sun, he found it setting in muddy and stinking spring or pond as per some translation. When the Arabs asked Muhammad, about the rising place of sun, then his friend and partner Allah again revealed few verses to help the Prophet of Islam. Allah said in Quran 18:89-90, which says:

Quran 18:89: Then he followed another way

Quran 18:90: Until, when he came to the rising place of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We (Allah) had provided no shelter against the sun.

Here we find, that as per Allah Dhul-Qarnain traveled another way, which must be most probably east to find from where sun rises, and astonishingly he found the sun rising on people who were unbelievers and had no shelter. This explanation is sufficient  for rationals and open-minded people to prove that Allah didn’t knew simple science and Quran has errors, but not for Muslim readers and blind believers, who copy-paste lies of Islamic scholars to defend Quranic errors its insufficient.

Quran – The Word of God?

The Qur’an, (Koran) meaning recitation, is the sacred book of Islam. According to Muslim tradition, it was revealed by God to the Prophet Muhammad in separate revelations over the major portion of his life at Mecca and at Medina. The Qur’an was probably compiled as a single volume under the third caliph, Uthman, who appointed a committee (651-52). The internal organization of the Qur’an is somewhat ad hoc. Revelations consisted of verses (ayat) grouped into 114 chapters (surah, plural – suwar).

This is what Qur’an says in its English Translation’s introduction, lets see how much words in Quran is from Allah, because as per Muslim’s claim each and every word between the two covers of the Quran is verbatim word of God (Allah). This question is beyond any doubt and Qur’an itself proves that some verse contained in it is from Muhammad, and if Qur’an contains a single alphabet of Muhammad, or anyone except Allah, it means it has to rejected entirely as it is altered by a mere man.

Quran itself claims that it is pure word of Allah, and it has no discrepancies or errors. Now it’s not my fault if I find even a single error, discrepancy or pseudo-science in Quran, and reject it, because Quran asks me to do so. Read the verse:

(Quran 4:82)
Do they not consider the Qur’an (with care)?
Had it been from other than Allah, they would
surely have found therein much discrepancy.

According to the Muslims the Quran contains the words of God. Quran is to be read as if God himself had spoken these words stated in it. It is important to emphasize this point because if Quran is the word of God then it should not contain any human words or errors and it should hold true for all times.

However, such is not the case. First, we will see how some of the verses in the Quran itself show clearly that some of the verses were obviously spoken by Muhammad and Not God (Allah).

(Quran 1:1-7)
In the name of the Merciful and Compassionate God.
Praise belongs to God, The Lord of the worlds, the merciful, the compassionate, the ruler of the day of the day of judgement! Thee we serve and Thee we ask for aid. Guide us in the right path,the path of those Thou art gracious to; not to those Thou art wroth with, nor of those who err.

Someone need not be a rocket-scientist to comprehend that these words are clearly addressed to God, in the form of a prayer. They are Muhammad’s words of praise to God, asking for God’s help and guidance. Some Muslim compilers conveniently add the imperative “say” in the English translation of the Quran at the beginning of the surah (chapter) to remove this difficulty. This imperative form of the word “say” occurs at least 350 times in the Quran, and its obvious that this word has, in fact, been inserted by later compilers of the Quran to remove countless similarly embarrassing difficulties. Thus, we have direct evidence that the Quran starts out with the words of Muhammad.

Very similar comment Swami Dayanand Saraswati gave in his book “The Light of Truth” on the very first verse of Quran, he said:

The Mohammedans claim that this Q’uran is the Word of God, but it appears from the above passage that the author of this book was some person other than God, since had it been God himself, He would not have said: “(I begin this book) in the name of God etc.” He would have, instead, said: “I write this book for the instruction of mankind.” If it be said that by beginning His book in this fashion He means to teach men as to what they should say when about to do a thing, it cannot be true, since some men will do even sinful deeds in the name of God and thereby bring disgrace on Him.

So it can be said that at least the very first chapter of Quran is without a shadow of doubt not from Allah, but either by Muhammad himself or some of the later compiler. Quran in many other places gives us evidence that it is not the God’s word, but of somebody else, like read Quran 6:104, which says:

(Quran 6:104)
Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (To open your eyes): If any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; If any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) To watch over your doings.

In this verse the speaker of the line “I am not to watch over your doings”– is clearly Muhammad’s word. In fact N J Dawood in his translation adds a footnote that the “I” refers to Mohammed here. Apart from this Al-Jalalayan in his explanation to this verse writes:

And I am not a keeper, a watcher, over you, of your deeds: I am but a Warner.

The case is crystal clear that Muhammad considered himself to be the warner, and a messenger. So this verse must have been revealed by Muhammad himself to frighten people of Mecca from the wrath of Allah, so that people embrace Islam in fear. The are loads of similar verse, in which Muhammad speaks in 1st person. Let’s see them too.

(Quran 27:91)
For me, I have been commanded to serve the Lord of this city, Him Who has sanctified it and to whom (Belong)  things; and I am commanded to be of those who bow in Islam to Allah’s Will

Again, the speaker here is clearly Muhammad who is trying to justify killing of innocent Meccans who were not willing to follow Muhammad’s version of God. Dawood and Pickthall both interpolate “say” at the beginning of the sentence which is lacking in the original Arabic version of the verse.

If we use word to word translation dictionary, it makes more clear that this verse is Muhammad’s own creation, instead of Allah’s. The actual verse in Arabic says:

innamā- “Only

umir’tu – I am commanded

an – that

aʿbuda – I worship

rabba- (the) Lord

hādhihil-baldati – (of) this city

By my wildest imagination also, I can’t understand why God commands himself to worship the lord. Or else the verse is by Muhammad or somebody else. In other places in Quran, the creator of world, the lord of Islam, starts swearing on his own creation. We have observed and seen, that people mostly swear on things or people very superior to them, like mother, father, god, holy books etc. We would have hardly noticed people, swearing seriously on their bikes, cars, or wallets, but never mind Allah does if he has revealed the verse (Quran 81:15) himself. The verse says:

(Quran 81:15)
So verily I call To witness the planets that recede… 

Ibn Kathir explains the verse by quoting a Sahih Hadith which says:

Muslim recorded in his Sahih, and An-Nasa’i in his Book of Tafsir, in explaining this Ayah, from `Amr bin Hurayth that he said, “I prayed the Morning prayer behind the Prophet , and I heard him reciting, (But nay! I swear by Al-Khunnas, Al-Jawar Al-Kunnas, and by the night when it `As`as, and by the day when it Tanaffas.)” Ibn Jarir recorded from Khalid bin `Ar`arah that he heard `Ali being asked about the Ayah; (لَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ. الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ) (Nay! I swear by Al-Khunnas, Al-Jawar Al-Kunnas.) and he said, “These are the stars that withdraw (disappear) during the day and sweep across the sky (appear) at night.”

Do we have any more doubt regarding the verse? Obviously its Muhammad, who swore on planets and stars. We find very similar verse in CH 84:16-19 too, which says:

(Quran 84:16-19)
I swear by the afterglow of sunset, and by the night, and by the moon when she is at the full.

Once again it is Muhammad and NOT God. He is unable to disguise his pagan heritage. He swears again in the name of the Sun and Moon, both of which were considered as holy deities by Pre-Islamic Arabs. We have got enough evidences to prove that Quran contains Muhammad’s own word, but this is not all, we are left with many of Muhammad’s verse, for example read Quran 6:114, which says:

Should I seek other judge than God, when
it is He who has sent down to you, the
distinguishing book (Koran)?

Any sane person can comprehend that those words are not spoken by God but Muhammad himself. Yusuf Ali in his translation adds at the beginning of the sentence “say”, which is not there in the original Arabic and he does so without comment or footnote. The Arabic verse starts with the word “afaghayra l-lahi” which means “Then is (it) other than Allah”. Any Muslim who reads Quran in Arabic can check this fact.

Now let’s come back to Muslims claim, that the book Quran is a verbatim word of Allah, and contains no human verses or letters or even an alphabet. But as per my knowledge and study of Quran, I have shown half a dozen verses of Muhammad, or else later compiler of Quran. Now would they reject Quran as word of God, or they will stick to their blind belief depends on them?

Interestingly I haven’t touched the errors and pseudo-science portion yet, which Allah has challenged us to find in Quran. Which will be done in next part of this article.

Does Islam Promote Violence?

We often hear Muslim Clerics and Scholars explaining the meaning of word ‘Islam’ as peace. Most of the time we are accused of misquoting verses of Quran and misunderstanding them, we are even asked by our politically correct leader to never use the word terrorism with Islam.  But is it true that Islam doesn’t promote violence? Or it does? When I asked this simple question from my Muslim friends, they handed me a video lecture of famous Indian televangelist Dr. Zakir Naik, who explains in his video why Islam does not promote violence. Even after going through his video I am not satisfied, I am writing this article as an objection to his claims. Following are the transcripts of his lecture in red, with my reply.

Dr. Naik Said:- A few selected verses from the Qur’an are often misquoted to perpetuate the myth that Islam promotes violence, and exhorts its followers to kill those outside the pale of Islam.

My Reply:- Few years back I read a book entitled “164 Jihad verses in Quran” compiled by Yoel Natan, he enlisted only those verses from Quran which talks about killing, murder, jihad, raid, loot, expedition, fighting etc. Apart from Quran there are many Sahih Hadiths, which are canonical scripture of Islam, and in Hadith you will find commands of violence and fighting in good amount. So I guess Dr. Naik made a mistake by selecting the word ‘few’ for those verses from Quran which critics consider to promote violence.

Let’s leave the Quranic verses aside for time being, but how can we ignore what Muslims are doing today in world in name of Allah. I believe action speaks more than words, and they (Muslims) have proved it that something is wrong with Islamic teaching. They don’t even tolerate Muslims from other sect, then how come we expect them to show mercy of Non-Muslims?

About the allegation of misquotation I would say, that it’s hardly our mistake if we have misquoted any Quranic verse, as seldom you will find Quranic verses with context. Actually Quran only in some places gives its context of verses, still we are more sincere than Muslims in taking the Quranic verse in context, why I said so we will see it later in this article.

Dr. Naik Said:- . Verse from Surah Taubah 

The following verse from Surah Taubah is very often quoted by critics of Islam, to show that Islam promotes violence, bloodshed and brutality:

“Kill the mushriqeen (pagans, polytheists, kuffar) where ever you find them.” [Al-Qur’an 9:5]

My Reply:- Yes, true the Quranic verse 9:5 and 9:29 are very often quoted, the complete verse reads:-

[9.5] So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Who will not say that Islam promotes violence, bloodshed, and brutality, after reading the above verse? The commands are crystal clear, and in above verse the author of Quran commands Muslims to kill Non-Muslims after the sacred months of Islam is passed. It further adds that if they (Non-Muslims) embrace Islam, then let them go free. Doesn’t it sound kind of dictatorship by an almighty? Well I still have to take this verse in context, or else Muslims will accuse me of misquoting the verse, but before let’s see what more Dr. Naik says.

Dr. Naik said:- . Context of verse is during battlefield 

Critics of Islam actually quote this verse out of context. In order to understand the context, we need to read from verse 1 of this surah. It says that there was a peace treaty between the Muslims and the Mushriks (pagans) of Makkah. This treaty was violated by the Mushriks of Makkah. A period of four months was given to the Mushriks of Makkah to make amends. Otherwise war would be declared against them. Verse 5 of Surah Taubah says:


“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” [Al-Qur’an 9:5]

This verse is quoted during a battle.

My Reply:- Above Dr. Naik easily claims that the context of verse is during battlefield, but we don’t see any evidence for his claim. Whereas most of the early scholars have different view about the very same verse.

Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi wrote: – A clear declaration was made that all the treaties with the mushriks were abolished and the Muslims would be released from the treaty obligations with them after a respite of four months.(vv. 1-3). This declaration was necessary for uprooting completely the system of life based on shirk and to make Arabia exclusively the center of Islam so that it should not in any way interfere with the spirit of Islam nor become an internal danger for it.

In his explanation of the verse 9:5 Ibn Kathir says:- (So when the Sacred Months have passed…), meaning, `Upon the end of the four months during which We prohibited you from fighting the idolaters  and which is the grace period We gave them, then fight and kill the idolaters wherever you may find them.’ Allah’s statement next, (then fight the Mushrikin wherever you find them), means, on the earth in general, except for the Sacred Area,(and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush), do not wait until you find them. Rather, seek and besiege them in their areas and forts, gather intelligence about them in the various roads and fairways so that what is made wide looks ever smaller to them. This way, they will have no choice, but to die or embrace Islam.

These above explanations make the verse very clear, as it also proves that Dr. Naik is lying about the verse. This verse was revealed to prepare Muslims for Jihad against Non-Muslims, and to force all Arabs to embrace Islam.

Dr. Naik is certainly making an error by claiming that the peace treaty was violated by Non-Muslims, but in reality it is Muhammad himself who broke the treaty with Non-Muslims, it is clear from the very first verse of Quran Ch 9, which says:-

[This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allah and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists.

Here we see Allah and his messenger are declaring the disassociation of the treaty with the polytheists, and it is not the other way round. The reason for this disassociation is correctly mentioned by Maududdi, as he says:-

This declaration was necessary for uprooting completely the system of life based on shirk and to make Arabia exclusively the center of Islam so that it should not in any way interfere with the spirit of Islam nor become an internal danger for it.

Allah commands Muslims to complete the term of four months with them who are not deficient towards Muslims in any way. This he mentioned in Quran Ch 9 Verse 4:-

Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].

And the very next verse commands Muslims to kill even those who were not deficient towards Muslims and supported no enemy of Muslims, so this alone clearly proves that Islam does promote violence, and the explanation given by Dr. Naik is full of errors and far from historical evidences.

Dr. Naik:- Example of war between America and Vietnam

We know that America was once at war with Vietnam. Suppose the President of America or the General of the American Army told the American soldiers during the war: “Wherever you find the Vietnamese, kill them”. Today if I say that the American President said, “Wherever you find the Vietnamese, kill them” without giving the context, I will make him sound like a butcher. But if I quote him in context, that he said it during a war, it will sound very logical, as he was trying to boost the morale of the American soldiers during the war.

My Reply:- Well Dr. Naik loves to brain wash his followers by giving irrelevant examples, and he cunningly quotes those example which may make Islam look a peaceful religion. The example which he quoted above is in no relation with the verse which we are discussing. As I demonstrated above that the verse was not revealed in relation of war like that of America and Vietnam, so his example is useless here.  He should have better given example of Pakistan and India. We all know Pakistan is a heaven of Islamic terrorism, so what if the president of Pakistan tells Islamic terrorists “Kill all the Indians wherever you find and lie in wait of them.” This example would be more relevant than his example.

Dr Naik Said:- Verse 9:5 quoted to boost morale of Muslims during battle

Similarly in Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 the Qur’an says, “Kill the Mushriks wherever you find them”, during a battle to boost the morale of the Muslim soldiers. What the Qur’an is telling Muslim soldiers is, don’t be afraid during battle; wherever you find the enemies kill them.

My Reply:- Yes, verse 9:5 was revealed to boost the morale of Muslims, but not during battlefield. Muslims were commanded to kill all the Non-Muslims of Arabia and fight with them until they die or embrace Islam, so were Muslims in state of war with all Non-Muslim? I believe no. I as said earlier this verse was revealed to make the whole of Arabia a perfect Dar-ul-Islam.

Dr Naik said: – . Shourie jumps from verse 5 to verse 7 

Arun Shourie is one of the staunchest critics of Islam in India. He quotes the same verse, Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 in his book ‘The World of Fatawas’, on page 572. After quoting verse 5 he jumps to verse 7 of Surah Taubah. Any sensible person will realize that he has skipped verse 6.

My Reply:- Its good that he jumped from verse 5 to 7, or else it would have made the meaning of the verse 5 more worst, and cruel. OK  as you suggest that we should include verse 9:6 too, then sure, I’ll do it for you. Quran 9:6 says:-

And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah . Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.

To understand this verse we may rely on what most prominent Islamic scholars think about this verse, I believe it will not make the previous verse peaceful, but certainly it will make it look more violent. Ibn Kathir in his commentary says:-

These Ayat allowed fighting people unless, and until, they embrace Islam and implement its rulings and obligations. Allah mentioned the most important aspects of Islam here, including what is less important. Surely, the highest elements of Islam after the Two Testimonials, are the prayer, which is the right of Allah, the Exalted and Ever High, then the Zakah, which benefits the poor and needy. These are the most honorable acts that creatures perform, and this is why Allah often mentions the prayer and Zakah together. In the Two Sahihs, it is recorded that Ibn `Umar said that the Messenger of Allah said, These Ayat allowed fighting people unless, and until, they embrace Islam and implement its rulings and obligations.

He adds:- (And if anyone of the Mushrikin), whom you were commanded to fight and We allowed you their blood and property,’(seeks your protection), asked you for safe passage, then accept his request until he hears the Words of Allah, the Qur’an. Recite the Qur’an to him and mention a good part of the religion with which you establish Allah’s proof against him, The Ayah says, `We legislated giving such people safe passage so that they may learn about the religion of Allah, so that Allah’s call will spread among His servants. Ibn Abi Najih narrated that Mujahid said that this Ayah, “Refers to someone who comes to you to hear what you say and what was revealed to you (O Muhammad).Therefore, he is safe until he comes to you, hears Allah’s Words and then proceeds to the safe area where he came from.” 

After reading the above explanation, in short we can say that Muslims in 9:5 are allowed to kill all Non-Muslims until they make Arabia a perfect Dar-ul-Islam. Muslims are allowed to fight until none has right to worship Allah alone. In between if any Non-Muslim seeks protection, i.e. if he agrees to embrace Islam, and do all that what Muslims do, is safe.

Now how this addition of verse 9:6 makes its previous verse peaceful? Still the outline is same, to kill Non-Muslims and keep fighting until they either die or embrace Islam. So in Dr. Naik’s words, any sensible person will realize that Islam does not promote violence.

Rest he talks about Quran 9:6, which I have already explained in above part. So by no means Islam can be said a religion of peace, and even the top scholars of Islam makes a number of mistakes and errors while trying to prove Islam to be religion of peace. Islam was, is and ever be the most intolerant religion, which always promotes violence.

Gandhi’s Silence on Jalianwala Baug Massacre
By Lucknow pact, Gandhi had actually pushed the Muslims who had entered the mainstream society back to the Islamic fanatic middle ages. The British jailed the then leader of Khilafat movement, Maulana Mohammed Ali. But the British terror was so much, that no Muslim even protested let alone begin riots. Gandhi approved of the Islamic Fundamentalist concepts of Hijr, Jihad and Bloody revolution as orders of the Quran as well as the concepts of Kafir and Shahadat. The only person who had opposed this was Barrister Jinna, and he had also accepted political retirement for the same. Soon after, the Muslims got into the habit of rioting which they use even today. So much for the ‘Khilafat’, yet, When the Jalianwala Baug Massacre took place, Gandhi did not even utter a word against the killings until after 6 months !

Gandhi’s Muslim Love!
Unconditional Muslim appeasement as Gandhi’s philosophy Mohandas Gandhi’s philosophy is often assumed to be pillared by ‘Satya’ and ‘ahimsa’. But the fact is that his philosophy was not just ‘Satya’ and ‘Ahimsa’ but also unconditional muslim appeasement. Gandhi’s behavior was inconsistent with Satya and Ahimsa and yet it was always consistent with the principle of Muslim appeasement. Veer Savarkar called his philosophy as ‘tattva – adnyaan’.

Blank Cheque facility to Muslims
From 1919 onward, Gandhi began giving several legally questionable and illogical promises to the Muslims to become their undisputed leader ! Gandhi gave them the facility of Blank Che-ques. Due to such facilities, all major Muslim leaders in Bharat became followers of Gandhi.

Trampling the faith of hundreds of Congress people for one muslim’s fanaticism!
To show respect for Gandhi, congress adopted the Tiranga(Tricolor) with Charkha as its flag, which would be unfurled on every major event of the congress. This flag would be hoisted in all Twilight Rallies and even homes of Gandhi wadis would be decorated with this flag. University students hoisted this flag on the university building to demonstrate their Nationalist Sentiments. In 1946, after the great Hindu Slaughter, Gandhi was roaming around the Tippora region. This same flag was hoisted on his temporary tent. Once a Muslim finding the flag unbearable took objection. Gandhi immediately ordered to take down the flag ! He did not even bother to ask other congress people.

Changing the history for love of Muslims
Gandhi felt that it was imperative to hide the fact that Muslim Rulers committed atrocities on Hindus and forcibly converted them to Islam. Hence he wrote and mentioned several unhistorical aspects about the muslims.

Islam spread by the teachings of Fakirs and not by the sword !
Hassan Nizami, a fiercely fanatical muslim leader from the North once met Gandhi. At that time, Gandhi used the following lies to appease the muslims, “I know the secret ofspread of Islam. I am aware that Islam spread not due to sword but by the teachings of Fakirs and Maulavis, the sword has been used to merely protect Muslim culture!”.

Ignoring the fatal outlook of Muslims towards Bharat
Muslims did not seem to participate in any constructive movements and internal issues within Bharat. On being asked why it is so, Gandhi casually said, “The allegation is true indeed. Muslims believe they are the descendants of victors,they dont believe or consider Bharat as their motherland. Hence they don’t participate in freedom struggle as much as Hindus do.”

Was Muhammad persecuted in Mecca, as Muslims claim?

There are loads of sites and Books by Muslims that states that Muhammad was persecuted by the Meccans for preaching Islam, and this led Prophet to leave Mecca and Move to Yathrib (Medina). This gives Muslims a chance to create a myth; that Prophet fought his fight in self-defense. However the Historye of Muhammad, written by Muslims themselves is a stark denial to this fact. If at all, Muhammad was persecuted, we need to know the reason as to why he was persecuted. The reason for his persecution is important to be able to pass any judgment on him. Today we see all Governments of different countries persecute Terrorist Organizations and Drug Dealers, but those Governments are not to be blamed for persecuting or prosecuting these Organisation. In the same way, we need to see why Muhammad and other Muslims were persecuted, if really he was?

The very first thing I notice in Islamic history is that Quraysh was very Tolerant. As one of the Muslim biographer says, “Abu Talib made no objection to Islam of his two sons ]a’far and ‘Ali, but for himself he said he was not prepared to forsake the religion of his forefathers; ‘Abbas was evasive and Hamzah uncomprehending, though both assured him of their unfailing affection for him personally.” [1]

This shows the head of Quraysh was a tolerant man, he had no objection when his two sons embraced Islam.

When Muhammad started mocking and insulting the religion of Quraysh, Quraysh went to Abu Talib, and requested him to ask Muhammad to stop insulting  them. Quraysh said, “0 Abu Talib, thine is a high and honourable position amongst us, and we have asked thee to hold in check thy brother’s son, but thou hast not done so. By God, we will not suffer our fathers to be insulted, our ways scoffed at, and our gods reviled.” [2]

The above quote however does not prove that Muhammad was persecuted, Muhammad used to insult and abuse gods and the religions of the Qurayshies.  Quraysh begged Abu Talib to stop his Nephew . Another source says, “ the Quraysh went to Abu Talib, a highly respected elder who was the Prophet’s uncle and tribal protector, and demanded that he put an end to Muhammad’s behavior, whom they accused of cursing their gods, denouncing their forefathers and insulting their religion. “ [3] 

Quraysh had a reason to be negative toward Muhammad. The Prophet cursed their gods, denounced their forefathers, and insulted their religions. But they did not fight directly; rather they requested Abu Talib to stop Muhammad. But Abu Talib failed to stop Muhammad. Even so, this did not make Quraysh attack Muhammad. They still waited and hoped for peace. Quraysh, sent another person, Utbah to offer Muhammad anything he wanted so that he can leave them in peace.
Utbah went to the Prophet and said, “Son of my brother,thou art as thou knowest a noble of the tribe and thy lineage assureth thee of a place of honor. And now thou hast brought to thy people a matter of grave concern, whereby thou hast rifted their community, declared their way of life to be foolish, spoken shamefully of their gods and their religion, and called their forefathers infidels. So hear what I propose, and see if any of it be acceptable to thee. If it be wealth thou seekest, we will put together a fortune for thee from our various properties that thou mayst be the richest man amongst us. If it be honour thou seekest, we will make thee our overlord and take no decision without thy consent; and if thou wouldst have kingship, we will make thee our king; and if thyself thou canst not rid thee of this sprite that appeareth unto thee, we will find thee a physician and spend our wealth until thy cure be complete.”  Before Utbah went to prophet, read what made Utbah go to Muhammad. In a meeting with other Chiefs of Quraysh, Utbah said, “‘Utbah ibn Rabi’ah. “Why should I not go to Muhammad,” he said, “and make certain offers to him, some of which he might accept? And what he accepteth, that will we give him, on condition that he leave us in peace.” [4] 

We can see what was the grave concern with the Prophet’s tribe. Muhammad broke the peace of his Tribe, and he was also a big danger for the basic livelihood of his tribe, which was through pilgrimage to the Kaaba. On one occasion Quraysh decided that outside the town all the roads by which Mecca was approached ( by Pilgrims) must be manned, and that visitors must be warned in advance to be on their guard against Muhammad. This was done because Quraysh had a high reputation of hospitality, not only as regards food and drink but also because they made every man feel welcomed, both him and his gods. But this year there was the threat that pilgrims will hear their gods insulted by Muhammad and his followers, and they would be urged to forsake the religion of their forefathers and to adopt a new religion which appeared to have numerous disadvantages. [5]

Prophet even failed to prove his religion, which is evident from Many Meccans verse while at the same time he abused their religions, forefather and gods. Then  Quraysh wrote a decree institutinging a boycott of the Hashim and al-Muttalib sub-clans: marriage, and all forms of buying and selling, between the rest of Quraysh and the two sub-clans was completely suspended, such that not even basic provisions could be secured. [6] 

This boycott continued for three years. During this period Muhammad earned few followers in Medina, who used to visit Muhammad during each Pilgrimage season. Finally, all his followers met with the Prophet in secrecy at ‘Aqaba, in nearby Mina under cover of night, to make the following pledge: (1) Not to associate any partners with the one true God, Allah; (2) To obey the Prophet in all righteous matters; (3) To refrain from stealing; (4) And adultery; (5)And infanticide; (6)And slander.  In the following year a larger delegation (over seventy, including two women) again met with him during the pilgrimage season and invited him to migrate to Medina. On that night they proclaimed the second pledge of ‘Aqaba, with a new added clause (7) To protect the Messenger in the same manner as they would protect their own women and children. After this Muslims started Migrating to Medina. [7] 

I don’t find any persecution from Quraysh, and he was only boycotted, but for a reason. Now, Gandhi asked Indians to Boycott the British when they ruled India. This does not make Gandhi a cruel man and in the wrong. By the same token, Quraysh boycotted Muhammad since he was a threat to their peace, abused and insulted their forefathers and religions, without proving his own religion to be correct. He also was a threat to their livelihood, which they earned from servicing Pilgrims.  This Muslims claim of persecution in Mecca is no more than a mirage.

Can a Muslim take Non-Muslim as a friend?

We are taught since childhood, that we should love and respect everyone. We should not hate anyone and should consider everyone as friends, without discriminating on grounds of religion, sex, or color.Even Muslims are first to claim, that they can co-exist with each and every community in this world peacefully. But, does their scripture (Qur’an) permit them to co-exist peacefully with people of other religions? Are they allowed to take Non-Muslims as a friend? To know these answers, we have to open Quran, and read what Allah has to say on the relevant topic.

In this article we will try to expose, what Islam teaches its believers about the relations with Non-Muslims. Fatwa below is taken from a Islamic site for which source is provided, which explains relation of Muslim with a Non-Muslim.

Question:-

We hope that you will be able to explain, with examples, what is meant by the phrase, “Taking kaafirs as close friends and protectors is haraam.”?

Answer:-

Praise be to Allaah.

Yes, examples will certainly explain and clarify what is meant, so we will move straight on to quoting some of the most important points that the scholars and leaders of da’wah have said about different ways of showing friendship towards kaafirs.

Accepting their kufr and doubting that it is kufr at all, or refraining from labelling them as kaafirs, or praising their religion. Allaah says about the kufr of the one who accepts them (interpretation of the meaning): “… but such as open their breasts to disbelief…” [al-Nahl 16:106]. Allaah says, making it obligatory to label the kaafirs as such (interpretation of the meaning): “… Whoever disbelieves in Taaghoot [false deities] and believes in Allaah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break…” [al-Baqarah 2:256]. Allaah says about the munaafiqoon (hypocrites) who prefer the kuffaar to the Muslims (interpretation of the meaning) “… [they] say to the disbelievers that they are better guided as regards the way than the believers (Muslims).” [al-Nisa’ 4:51].

Referring to them for judgement. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “… they wish to got for judgement (in their disputes) to the Taaghoot (false judges, etc.) while they have been ordered to reject them…” [al-Nisa’ 4:60]

Befriending and liking them. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “You will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger…” [al-Mujaadilah 58:22]

[Here the lord of world’s says, that those who are Muslims, will not befriend those who are disbelievers. Allah prejudge them (Disbelievers) as hypocrites, and even Muslims today believe that they are better guided than Non-Muslims. For the last quoted verse al-Mujaadilah 58:22, Ibn Jalalalayan explains “You will not find a people who believe in God and the Last Day loving, befriending, those who oppose God and His Messenger, even though they, the opposers, were their fathers, that is to say, the believers’ [fathers], or their sons or their brothers or their clan, rather [you will find that] they intend to do them harm and they fight them over [the question of] faith, as occurred on one occasion with some Companions, may God be pleased with them. [For] those, the ones who are not loving of them, He has inscribed, He has established, faith upon their hearts and reinforced them with a spirit, a light, from Him, exalted be He, and He will admit them into gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide, God being pleased with them, for their obedience of Him, and they being pleased with Him, because of His reward. Those [they] are God’s confederates, following His command and refraining from what He has forbidden. Assuredly it is God’s confederates who are the successful, the winners.” This is enough to say that Allah forbids Muslims to befriend their fathers, brothers, and other member of clan if they are disbelievers.] [Source]

Inclining towards them, relying upon them and taking them as a support. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And incline not towards those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you…” [Hood 11:113]

[In above verse, the people who do wrong are those who disbelief, or are polytheist, and idolaters. If Muslims rely on them, and take support from them, then they too will go to hell fire. ]

Helping and supporting them against the Muslims. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “The believers, men and women, are awliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another…” [al-Tawbah 9:71]. He also says of the kuffaar that they are “ but awliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) to one another…” [al-Maa’idah 5:51]. And He says (interpretation of the meaning): “…And if any amongst you takes them as awliya’, then surely he is one of them.”[al-Maa’idah 5:51].

Becoming members of their societies, joining their parties, increasing their numbers, taking their nationalities (except in cases of necessity), serving in their armies or helping to develop their weapons.

Bringing their laws and rules to the Muslim countries. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Do they then seek the judgement of the Days of Ignorance?…” [al-Maa’idah 5:50]

[Allah wants Muslims not to support Non-Muslims, by helping them in Armies, Joining their parties and taking their Nationalities. It is evident from the number of Muslims in Indian army, they are only 1.5%- 2% Muslims in Indian Army in 14% Muslims in Total.]

Taking them as friends in general terms, taking them as helpers and supporters, and throwing in one’s lot with them. Allaah forbids all this, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as awliya’ (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but awliya’ to one another…” [al-Maa’idah 5:51].

[Allah forbids Muslims to take protectors or helpers among Jews and Christians, to explain it much better let;s see what Ibn Jalalayan says about the verse, “affiliating with them or showing them affection; they are patrons of each other, being united in disbelief. Whoever amongst you affiliates with them, he is one of them, counted with them.” ]

Compromising with them and being nice to them at the expense of one’s religion. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so that they (too) would compromise with you.” [al-Qalam 68:9]. This includes sitting with them and entering upon them at the time when they are making fun of the Signs of Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And it has already been revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the Verses of Allaah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them), certainly in that case you would be like them…” [al-Nisa’ 4:140]

[Allah forbids Muslims in 4:140, to hear not anything against Allah, Muhammad and Qur’an. This is because, if they hear them( Disbelievers), they will become like them. Muslims run away from reasons and Logic, also questioning their faith makes them sad and frustrated. So they opt a very easy way out of it. By running away from all these.]

Trusting them and taking them as advisors and consultants instead of the believers. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe! Take not as (your) bitaanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made clear to you the aayaat (proofs, evidence, verses), if you understand. Lo! You are the ones who love them but they love you not, and you believe in all the Scriptures [i.e., you believe in the Tawraat and the Injeel, while they disbelieve in your Book (the Qur’aan)]. And when they meet you, they say, ‘We believe.’ But when they are alone, they bite the tips of their fingers at you in rage. Say: ‘Perish in your rage. Certainly Allaah knows what is in the breasts (all the secrets).’ If a good befalls you, it grieves them, but some evil overtakes you, they rejoice at it…” [Aal ‘Imran 3:118-120].

Imaam Ahmad and Muslim reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went out to (the battle of) Badr, and a man from among the mushrikeen followed him and caught up with him at al-Harrah. He said, “I wanted to follow you and join you, and have some of the war-booty with you.” (The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) said: “Do you believe in Allaah and His Messenger?” He said, “No.” He said, “Go back, I do not need help from a mushrik.”

From these texts it is clear that we are forbidden to appoint kaafirs to positions whereby they could find out the secrets of the Muslims and plot against them by trying to do all kinds of harm.

Putting them in administrative positions where they are bosses of Muslims and can humiliate them, run their affairs and prevent them from practising their religion. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “… and never will Allaah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers.” [al-Nisa’ 4:141]. Imaam Ahmad reported that Abu Moosa al-Ash’ari (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “I said to ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him). ‘I have a Christian scribe.’ He said, ‘What is wrong with you, may Allaah strike you dead! Have you not heard the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning), “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as awliya’ (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but awliya’ to one another…” [al-Maa’idah 5:51]”? Why do you not employ a haneef [i.e., a Muslim]?’ I said, ‘O Ameer al-Mu’mineen, I benefit from his work and he keeps his religion to himself.’ He said, ‘I will never honour them when Allaah has humiliated them, and I will never bring them close to me when Allaah has expelled them from His mercy.’”

[This is a clear proof, that Muslims can’t be friend of Non-Muslim. This is further approved by Islamic apologists who want this world to be ruled with Sharia Law, see what law Islamic apologist propose to India. They say, “The Whole of India is in Fact [a] Muslim Land, the Authority Belongs to… [Muslims] and That They Should Take It From the Current Ruling Party to Implement the Shari’ah… Instead [of] Begging for Rights from the Hindus, the Muslims in India Must Govern By the Law of the Creator Allah”[Source]

Similarly, we should not employ them in Muslim homes where they can see our private matters and they bring our children up as kaafirs. This is what is happening nowadays when kaafirs are brought to Muslim countries as workers, drivers, servants and nannies in Muslim homes and families.

Neither should we send our children to kaafir schools, missionary institutions and evil colleges and universities, or make them live with kaafir families.

Imitating the kaafirs in dress, appearance, speech, etc., because this indicates love of the person or people imitated. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”

It is forbidden to imitate the kaafirs in customs, habits and matters of outward appearance and conduct that are characteristic of them. This includes shaving the beard, letting the moustache grow long, and speaking their languages, except when necessary, as well as matters of clothing, food and drink, etc.

[ Allah forbids Muslims even to live in Infidel’s country, state or house. Muslims are also forbidden to send their children in Infidels school. Now I guess, why most of the Muslims are illiterate and uncivilized. Muslim world has much less universities and Schools in comparison to Non-Islamic world. So, Muslims prefer there children to be illiterate, rather that sending them to Non-Muslim schools and colleges.]

Staying in their countries when there is no need to do so. Allaah forbade the weak and oppressed Muslims to stay among the kaafirs if they are able to migrate. He says (interpretation of the meaning): “Verily! As for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are wronging themselves (as they stayed among the disbelievers even though emigration was obligatory for them), they (angels) say (to them): ‘In what (condition) were you?’ They reply, ‘We were weak and oppressed on earth.’ They (angels) say: ‘Was not the earth of Allaah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?’ Such men will find their abode in Hell –what an evil destination! Except the weak ones among men, women and children, who cannot devise a plan, nor are the able to direct their way.” [al-Nisa’ 4:97-98].

Nobody will be excused for staying in a kaafir country except for those who are truly weak and oppressed and cannot migrate, or those who stay among them for a valid religious purpose such as da’wah and spreading Islam in their countries.

It is forbidden to live among them when there is no need to do so. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I disown the one who stays among the mushrikeen.”

Travelling to their countries for vacations and leisure purposes. But going there for a legitimate reason – such as medical treatment, trade, and learning specialized skills that cannot be obtained in any other way – is permitted in cases of need, and when the need has been fulfilled, it is obligatory to return to the Muslim world.

This permission is also given under the condition that the would-be traveller has sufficient knowledge to dispel his doubts, to control his physical desires, to demonstrate his religion, to be proud of being Muslim, to keep away from evil places, and to be aware and cautious of the plots of his enemies. It is also permissible, and even obligatory, to travel to their lands for the sake of da’wah and spreading Islam.

Praising them and their civilization and culture, defending them, and admiring their behaviour and skills, without taking note of their false ideology and corrupt religion. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And strain not your eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to various groups of them (disbelievers), the splendour of the life of this world that We may test them thereby. But the provision (good reward in the Hereafter) of your Lord is better and more lasting.” [Ta-Ha 20:131]. It is also forbidden to honour them, give them titles of respect, initiate greetings to them, give them the best seats in gatherings, and give way to them in the street. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not be the first to greet a Jew or a Christian (do not initiate the greeting), and if you meet one of them in the street, then push him to the narrowest part of the way.”

Forsaking the Islamic calendar and using their calendar, especially since it reflects their rituals and festivals, as is the case with the Gregorian (Western) calendar, which is connected to the supposed date of the birth of the Messiah (peace be upon him), which is an innovation that they have fabricated and that has nothing to do with the religion of ‘Eesa (Jesus). Using this calendar implies approval of their festivals and symbols.

In order to avoid all of that, when the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) established a calendar for the Muslims during the time of ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him), they ignored all the systems of the kuffaar and created a new calendar starting from the date of the Prophet’s Hijrah. This indicates that it is obligatory to differ from the kuffaar in this matter and others where it is the matter of distinct characteristics. And Allaah is the Source of Help.

Taking part in their holidays and festivals, helping them to celebrate them, congratulating them on these occasions or attending places where such celebrations are held. The phrase al-zoor [falsehood] in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning) “And those who do not witness falsehood…” [al-Furqaan 25:72] was interpreted as meaning the festivals of the kuffaar.

Using their names that have bad meanings. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) changed names whose meanings involved shirk, such as ‘Abd al-‘Uzza and ‘Abd al-Ka’bah.

Seeking forgiveness for them and asking Allaah for mercy for them. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “It is not (proper) for the Prophet and those who believe to ask Allaah’s forgiveness for the mushrikeen, even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the Fire (because they died in s state of disbelief).” [al-Tawbah 9:113]

These examples should give a clear picture of what is meant by the prohibition of forming close friendships with the kaafirs. We ask Allaah to keep our belief sound and our faith strong. And Allaah is the Source of Help.

Conclusion:-

After going through the details provided by Islamic apologists and Islamic scriptures do I need to write any thing else? We come to know that Allah has forbidden Muslims to be friend of Non-Muslims. They are also forbidden to imitate us in anything, and sending their children to our school. Muslims can’t live in Non-Islamic country, and if they live, they need to demand Sharia Law in that country. Muslims can’t praise Non-Muslims, their culture, and their skill. Muslims should not celebrate Non-Muslim’s festivals and should not seek forgiveness from us. Muslims are only allowed to travel in Non-Islamic country, when they are going to spread Islam over there, and will then return to Muslim world. If any Muslim does not do all the above stated thing, then Allah and his prophet is going to disown them.

To me the conclusion if full of hatred for us, and no other religion ever commands its believers to do all these, which Allah wants from his believers.

Allah admires Blind & Irrational Believers

Allah admires those who put blind faith in him, which means followers of Islam lacks qualities to judge or reason. This fact is based on authentic scriptures of Islam and its holy Book, which completely forbids a man to use their own logic, reasoning to know the true face of Islam. How can a rational mind accept a religion which is full of myths and superstitions without questioning it? Let us see some verses to support my claims.

Quran 50:30-33
On that Day, We shall ask the hell: “Are you full?” And the hell will answer: “Are there any more?”[30] Paradise shall be brought close to the righteous, which will no more be a distant thing, [31] and it will be said: “Here is what you were promised. It is for every penitent faithful person, [32] who feared the Compassionate (Allah) without seeing Him and will come before Him with a devoted heart.”[33]

Very clearly here Allah states, that whoever fears him without seeing him will be rewarded with heaven and garden of wine. Let’s also see what Tafsir Ibn Abbas says about this verse:-

Tafsir Ibn Abbas [50:33]
(Who feareth the Beneficent in secret) who strives for the Beneficent even he has not seen Him (and cometh with a contrite heart) sincere in his worship and profession of Allah’s divine Oneness.

Ibn Abbas also confirms this statement by Allah that, he loves those servants who worships him and strives for him blindly. Further in [Ch 67:12] he again states that Allah is pleased with those who fear him, without seeing him and follows him blindly, Allah also promises great reward to such followers.

Quran 67:12

As for those who fear their Lord, although they have not seen Him, shall have forgiveness and a great reward. [12]

So to be rewarded with fabulous richness of Paradise a believer must fear Allah, even though He is unseen. The believer must, without any hesitancy or doubt, obey Allah and His dearest companion Muhammad. So, we can now understand mentality of Allah, he wants his followers to be blind in faith and except each and every word of Muhammad without judging it on the parameters of reason and logic. This is not all, Allah also dislikes those who question him or his revelations, and who ever questioned Muhammad about Allah and his revelations, he only cursed them without answering them. Here are few such verses from Qur’an:-

Quran 5:101

O believers! Do not ask questions about things that if revealed to you, may cause you trouble. But if you ask a question about something when the Qur’an is being revealed, it will be made known to you. Allah has forgiven you what you did to date, Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.[101]

Let us also see commentary of Ibn Abbas on this verse:-

[5:101]
(O ye who believe!) This was revealed about Harith Ibn Yazid who asked the Prophet (pbuh)-when the verse (And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind) was revealed: “Is it once every year, O Messenger of Allah?” So Allah forbade him from asking such questions, and started by addressing him with (O ye who believe!), (Ask not) your Prophet (of things) that Allah has relieved you of (which, if they were made known unto you) if they were made obligatory upon you, (would trouble you; but if you ask of them) if you ask of the things that you were relieved of (when the Qur’an is being revealed) when Gabriel brings down the Qur’an, (they will be made known unto you) they will be made obligatory upon you. (Allah pardoneth this) this questioning, (for Allah is Forgiving) of the one who repents, (Clement) vis-à-vis your ignorance.


It’s not difficult to understand this Quranic verse, Allah is unseen, and only Muhammad can see Gabriel, so to clear doubts regarding Quranic verses the only option is to ask question. But Allah the true friend of Muhammad solved this problem too by revealing verse 5:101. Muhammad showed no proof of divinity of Qur’an and his relation with Allah, due to which the poor Arabs continuously asked questions from Muhammad. Muhammad was frustrated and embarrassed with this situation, which made Allah reveal several such verses which cursed and frightened such people who asked questions.

Quranic verse 21:23 sheds more light on this topic, which reads :-

Quran 21:23
He is accountable to none about what He does, but they are accountable to Him.[23]

This verse can increase doubts in mind of an unbeliever. Why this god, who claims himself the lord of this world, who knows all things keeps running from questions. This is because when Muhammad was questioned about Qur’an and Allah, he used to answer such questions with Quranic verses, which were not at all satisfying. Allah revealed verses to frighten those who asked questions. This is also confirmed by Sahih Bukhari, here is the Hadith.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4 Chapter 54 Verse 496
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “Satan comes to one of you and says, ‘Who created so−and−so? ’till he says, ‘Who has created your Lord?’ So, when he inspires such a question, one should seek refuge with Allah and give up such thoughts.”

Allah forbids man to question his origin or else the questioner is Satan. This confirms how Allah plays with poor Arabs, he frightens those who asks question about his origin. Allah is afraid that if people keep asking such question, they will lose faith and he reveals this verse:-

Quran 5:102

Some people before you did ask such questions and later lost their faith because of those very things.[102]

For this verse Ibn Abbas comments :- (A folk before you asked) their prophets ((for such disclosures) and then disbelieved there in) when things were made clear to them, they disbelieved in them.

Why reasonable minds will not accept revelation of true lord after believing it when it is made clear to them? It is absurd to believe such verses, nowhere in entire Qur’an Allah answered questions of Arabs, instead he tried to frighten them, curse them or give them threats, so that they don’t question further. People of time of Muhammad were aware of the fact that Muhammad was a faker, and Allah was his own creation, so they continued asking question and challenged Muhammad, for which Allah promised His wrath, vengeance, terror and threatened the Quraysh Pagans with Hell if they dared to continue with their challenge to him (i.e. Muhammad). Let’s read few verses from Qur’an supporting this claim.

Quran 10:38
Do they say: “He (the Prophet) has forged it?” Tell them: “If what you say be true; then produce one Surah like this, you may even call to your aid anyone you want other than Allah.”[38]

Arabs at the time of Muhammad believed that it was Muhammad who was making up all the Qur’an, and Muhammad himself was unable to prove his appointment by the Most High. So, with all his anger and frustration Muhammad turned to his friend(Allah) for some divine help, and even Allah was incapable of helping Muhammad in this case, so he revealed above verse to shun their challenges. But this verse didn’t help Allah and Muhammad, so he revealed another verse with bigger challenge to avoid such embarrassing situation. Here is the verse:-

Quran: 11:13

Do they say: “He has made up the Qur’an himself.” Say to them: “Make up ten Surahs like this and call to your aid whomsoever you can, including your gods whom you worship besides Allah, if what you say is true.[13]

Let’s also see Ibn Abbas commentary on this verse:-

(Or they say) Nay, the disbelievers of Mecca say: (He hath invented it) Muhammad has invented the Qur’an and presented it to us. (Say) to them, O Muhammad: (Then bring ten surahs, the like thereof) the like of a surah of the Qur’an, such as surah al-Baqarah, Al ‘Imran, al-Nisa’, al-Ma’idah, al-An’am, al-A’raf, al-Anfal, al- Tawbah, Yunus, or Hud, (invented) by you, (and call on everyone you can) seek the help of what you worship (beside Allah, if ye are truthful!) that Muhammad (pbuh) has invented it.

Greatly perturbed Allah challenged Arab poets to compose ten surah likewise of Qur’an. Allah was quite inconsistent, he forgot that already he has challenged Arabs to compose one surah likewise of Qur’an. Or else, the first challenge was met by Arab poets, so Allah was forced to reveal such verse, to help his desert friend Muhammad. Now, with increasing challenges to prove his(Muhammad) relation with Allah, he was highly frustrated and infuriated complained Allah about this problem. As usual Allah helped his desert friend, but this time Allah changed his tone and was furious now on Arabs, he threatened and frightened now to those who challenged Muhammad, let’s see some verses from Qur’an:-

Quran 34:5
As for those who strive to discredit our revelations, there will be a humiliating painful punishment.[5]

Tafsir Ibn Abbas reads for this verse:-

(But those who strive against) those who deny (Our revelations) Muhammad (pbuh) and the Qur’an, (challenging (Us)) those will not escape our punishment, (theirs will be a painful doom of wrath) they will have a severe chastisement.

Only thing Allah and his desert friend know is to frighten infidels and Arabs who challenged them. This proves how fake Muhammad was, he was unable to answer his own followers, when they posed any question about Qur’an and Allah. The above mentioned evidences and quotes from canonical scriptures of Islam, clearly proves that  Allah admires Blind & Irrational Believers

Offensive Battles of Prophet of Islam

Muhammad in his entire life time undertook unlimited battles and fought some eight of them. [1] When we ask these things to an Islamic scholar that why the Prophet of Most Peaceful religion fought so many battles, their instant reply will be that these battles which Muhammad undertook and fought were all in self defense. Some Scholars even say that “not a single battle was offensive, or he (Muhammad) fought because Allah informed his messenger with the help of Archangel Gabriel that the Non-Believers were plotting and planning against him to kill him.”

But how can we trust these Scholars without going through the evidence of their claim. So in this article we will see that whether really Muhammad fought his battles in Self Defense or were offensive battles. Lets start with the Battle of Badr.

Battle of Badr

Background

This battle took place when Muhammad commanded some his men to go to the place called Nakhlah, which is situated between Makkah and At-Ta ‘ if and asked them to lie in wait for Quraish and bring their news. When these Muslims on command of Muhammad reached Nakhlah, they found a caravan of Quraish, which passed from near by. [2] The Quraish men in that Caravan were Amr Ibn Al-Hadrami, Uthman Ibn Abdullah, and his brother Naufal, and Al-Hakam Ibn Kaisan. When the Muslims saw these Quraish with their Caravan, they decided to attack them in the Prohibited month, and one of Muslim named Waqid Ibn Abdullah shot Al-Hadrami. Uthman Ibn Abdullah and Al-Hakim were captured and Naufal was successful in escaping from Muslims.[3]

When Muhammad came to know that his followers have looted the Caravan in prohibited month and killed one of the Quraish, he denied to take anything from the Loot. On this Allah suddenly revealed a verse, which is Qur’an Ch 2 Verse 217, which reads:-

They ask you about the sacred month – about fighting therein. Say, “Fighting therein is great [sin], but averting [people] from the way of Allah and disbelief in Him and [preventing access to] al-Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater [evil] in the sight of Allah . And fitnah is greater than killing.” And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever – for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.

One of the famous commentator of Qur’an, Ibn Jalalayan says on this verse:-

Thus the Prophet (s) sent forth the first of his raiding parties under the command of ‘Abd Allāh b. Jahsh. They fought against the idolaters and killed [‘Amr b. ‘Abd Allāh] Ibn al-Hadramī in [the sacred month of] Rajab, thinking that it was the last day of Jumādā II. The disbelievers reviled them for making fighting lawful in a sacred month, and so God revealed the following: They ask you about the sacred, the forbidden, month, and fighting in it (qitālin fīhi, ‘fighting in it’, is an inclusive substitution [for al-shahri l-harāmi, ‘the sacred month’]). Say, to them: ‘Fighting (qitālun is the subject) in it is a grave thing (kabīr, ‘grave’, is the predicate), that is, heinous in terms of sin; but to bar (saddun is the subject), people, from God’s way, His religion, and disbelief in Him, in God, and, to bar from, the Sacred Mosque, that is, Mecca, and to expel its people, the Prophet (s) and the believers, from it — that is graver (the predicate of the [last] subject), [that is] more heinous in terms of sin than fighting in it, in God’s sight; and sedition, your idolatry, is graver than, your, slaying’, in it. They, the disbelievers, will not cease to fight against you, O believers, until, so that, they turn you from your religion, to unbelief, if they are able; and whoever of you turns from his religion, and dies disbelieving — their, good, works have failed, that is, they are invalid, in this world and the Hereafter. Thus they will not count for anything and will not result in any reward. The specification of death as a condition is because if that person were to return to Islam [again], his original deeds would not be invalidated, and he will be rewarded for them, and he would not have to repeat them, [deeds] such as [performing] the Pilgrimage: al-Shāfi‘ī is of this opinion. Those are the inhabitants of the Fire, abiding therein. [Source]

Here we see how Allah justifies killing of Quraish in prohibited month by saying that Non-Believers were the first to bar the way of Allah and were the reason of  Fitna, but when we look in to the historical context of the verse, we can clearly see that this verse was revealed only for Muhammad. As he denied to accept the booty, because his companions killed people of Quraish in prohibited month and the Jews and people of Quraish started opposing him and considering it as a bad omen. [4] So Muhammad took help of his lord, and made him justify killing of Al-Hadrami, so that he can take the 1/5 part of the war booty. ( As mentioned in Qur’an Ch 8 Verse 1)

So we see the background of the fight and it cannot be said that Muslims fought a defensive fight, as we clearly see that Muslims were the first to attack, kill and loot the Caravan and people of Quraish. After this incident Ibn Ishaq says, that Messenger of Allah heard Abu Sufyan Ibn Harb was coming from Syria, with large Caravan of Quraish, containing their money and merchandise, accompanied by some thirty or forty men. The Messenger of Allah summoned the Muslims and said,

“This is caravan of Quraish which contains their money. Go out to attack it; perhaps Allah will give it as a prey.” [5]

When Abu Sufyan came to know about Muhammad’s plan, he hired Damdam Ibn ‘Amr to go to Mecca to order Quraish to come out to save their property from Muhammad and his companions. In this context Ibn Kathir relates Bukhari narrating a hadith, Vol 5, Book 59, No 286, which reads:-

Abu Jahl addressed Sa`d saying, “I see you wandering about safely in Mecca inspite of the fact that you have given shelter to the people who have changed their religion (i.e. became Muslims) and have claimed that you will help them and support them. By Allah, if you were not in the company of Abu Safwan, you would not be able to go your family safely.” Sa`d, raising his voice, said to him, “By Allah, if you should stop me from doing this (i.e. performing Tawaf) I would certainly prevent you from something which is more valuable for you, that is, your passage through Medina.” On this, Umaiya said to him, “O Sa`d do not raise your voice before Abu−l−Hakam, the chief of the people of the Valley (of Mecca).” Sa`d said, “O Umaiya, stop that! By Allah, I have heard Allah’s Apostle predicting that the Muslim will kill you.” Umaiya asked, “In Mecca?” Sa`d said, “I do not know.” Umaiya was greatly scared by that news. When Umaiya returned to his family, he said to his wife, “O Um Safwan! Don’t you know what Sa`d told me? “She said, “What has he told you?” He replied, “He claims that Muhammad has informed them (i.e. companions that they will kill me. I asked him, ‘In Mecca?’ He replied, ‘I do not know.”Then Umaiya added, “By Allah, I will never go out of Mecca.” But when the day of (the Ghazwa of) Badr came, Abu Jahl called the people to war, saying, “Go and protect your caravan.” But Umaiya disliked to go out (of Mecca).

So it is clear by the above authentic narration that Quraish fought the battle of Badr to protect their property from looters and raiders of Prophet Muhammad.People of Quraish answered the call of Damdam and got ready to protect their property and money. On this occasion Quraish men said, “Do Muhammad and his companions think this is going to be like Caravan of  Ibn Hardami.” All most every man of Quraish went to fight Muhammad and his companions for saving their property.

Conclusion:-

This was the background of Muhammad’s fight of Badr and according to the evidence from canonical scriptures and biography of Muhammad we can now say without the shadow of Doubt that this fight of Muhammad was not defensive, but was very offensive. He tried to loot the caravans of Quraish and in that process his companions even killed some Quraish men and looted their property. Quraish fought back to protect their property and that too when Muhammad again tried to to loot their caravan. In this case Quraish were defensive, not Muhammad.

Now this is sufficient evidence to prove that Muhammad was a Looter, a Thug, and we can also discard the claim that he led a peaceful and simple life.

Islam was spread with sword

In today’s world this topic is highly debated, that whether “Islam was spread with peace or Sword”. Is Islam a religion of terrorism or peace? Many Islamic scholars today claim Islam to be religion of peace, and Islam was spread with peace. They also say, that Muhammad fought no offensive fight. They (Muslim Scholars) add that all the fight in Islam were defensive. There was no use of sword or violence to spread Islam.

To answer these questions, and to separate the wheat from chaff, we will have to look in the Historical background, when Qur’an was revealed to Muhammad. As per Qur’an itself, the Arabs did not believed Qur’an to be revealed book, and Muhammad to be Messenger of God. We have many evidences that even his own tribe rejected his message and called him a Jinn Possessed, or a fraud. [Quran 25:4-5]

Some people even claimed Qur’an to be “Tales of Ancient”, and some added that he was Jinn possessed. [Qur’an 83:13] On top of all this, some of the Meccans even demanded him to show some Miracles, so they would believe his claims. But, Muhammad even denied to show any Miracle to them, and said that he was unable to perform any Miracle. [ Qur’an 17:90-93]

We are also aware that in Meccan carrier of Muhammad which lasted approx 13 years he only had handful of followers, which could not exceed 100 in number, if we trust the biographies written by Muslim themselves, so we would like to know what happened in remaining years that whole Arabia came in fold of Islam?

As per the above scenario, Meccans had no reason to embrace Islam, as they had no proof of Muhammad’s message authenticity. Then, how come after Hijrah the number of followers increased and in such a way that later even Meccans accepted Islam, with rest of Arabia? The obvious answer for this question would be that, in lack of evidence and reason to support his message, Muhammad resorted to violence to spread Islam.  One of the Islamic site says this:-

Allaah has commanded us to prepare the means of fighting against the kuffaar and frightening them. He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery) to threaten the enemy of Allaah and your enemy, and others besides whom, you may not know but whom Allaah does know”

[al-Anfaal 8:60]

If Islam was only spread by peaceful means, what would the kuffaar have to be afraid of? Of mere words spoken on the tongue? In al-Saheehayn it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have been supported with fear as far as a month’s journey.” Would the kuffaar be afraid of being told, “become Muslim, but if you do not then you are free to believe and do whatever you want”? or were they afraid of jihad and the imposition of the jizyah and being humiliated? That may make them enter Islam so that they may be spared this humiliation. [Source]

I would like today’s so called peaceful Muslims to answer that, what would kuffar have to be afraid of? Did they (Non-Believers) converted to Islam, just by pleasing of Peaceful Muslims? Were the Non-Believers convinced with message of Muhammad? But, as we have seen above that, Meccans and other Arabs doubted the Message of Muhammad, and even considered him Lunatic, so some other strength must have been used. That power was use of sword and violence. Let’s see what the same site writes further.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 28/263. 

The purpose is that all religion should be for Allaah alone, and that the word of Allaah should be supreme. The word of Allaah is a comprehensive phrase that refers to His words that are contained in His Book. Hence Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance (justice) that mankind may keep up justice”

[al-Hadeed 57:25]

The purpose behind sending the Messengers and revealing the Books was so that mankind might keep up justice with regard to the rights of Allaah and the rights of His creation. Then Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And We brought forth iron wherein is mighty power (in matters of war), as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allaah may test who it is that will help Him (His religion) and His Messengers in the unseen”

[al-Hadeed 27:25]

So whoever deviates from the Book is to be brought back with iron, i.e. by force. Hence the soundness of the religion is based on the Qur’aan and the Sword. It was narrated that Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) commanded us to strike with this, meaning the sword, whoever turns away from this, meaning the Qur’aan.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Faroosiyyah (p.18):

Allaah sent him – meaning the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – with the guiding Book and the conquering sword, ahead of the Hour, so that Allaah alone would be worshipped with no partner or associate, and his provision was placed beneath the shade of his sword and spear. Allaah has established the religion of Islam with proof and evidence, and with the sword and spear, both together and inseparable.

This is some of the evidence from the Qur’aan and Sunnah. The evidence clearly indicates that the sword is one of the most important means that led to the spread of Islam. 

This is indeed very true, as we don’t find any other reason, because of which Non-Believers at the time Muhammad, would have excepted Islam. When they( Non-Believers), them self claimed Muhammad to be Charlatan, Fraud, Jinn possessed, and his Message to be “Fables of ancient”. The above mentioned reason is appropriate for the spread of Islam, even in early day. So, their is very little room to claim, Islam is a religion of peace, and it was spread with peace.

Lastly, see how shamelessly some people claim, that they are proud of violent history of Islam.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have been sent ahead of the Hour with the sword so that Allaah will be worshipped alone, and my provision has been placed in the shade of my spear, and humiliation has been decreed for those who go against my command, and whoever imitates a people is one of them.”  Narrated by Ahmad, 4869; Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2831.

The fact that the sword and power were means of spreading Islam is not a sources of shame for Islam, rather it is one of its strengths and virtues, because that makes people adhere to that which will benefit them in this world and in the Hereafter. Many people are foolish and lacking in wisdom and knowledge, and if they are left to their own devices they will remain blinded to the truth, indulging in their whims and desires. So Allaah has prescribed jihad in order to bring them back to the truth and to that which will benefit them. Undoubtedly wisdom dictates that the fool should be prevented from doing that which will harm him, and should be forced to do that which will benefit him. [Source]

Well said, Why should Muslims be ashamed of mass murder, beheading, rape, sudden raid etc of Muhammad? After all he is the most Noble Human being whom Allah created till date , and Muslims have to follow and elevate him, next to Allah’s throne. This is what Allah has revealed for his servants to be the most Noble act, which will win them a Ticket of Jannat (Heaven). But, unfortunately it is the most heinous act for Non-Believers, and we are free to criticize such acts and such devilish Prophet of God.
