Did Prophet Marry His Aunt???

We read in Musnad Ahmad 6/409, Hadith 26050:

عن سعيد بن المسيب : أن خولة بنت حكيم السلمية وهي إحدى خالات النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

Narrated Sa’eed ibn al-Musayab:

Khaula bint Hakim al-Salamiyah was one of the aunts of the Prophet.

Shaykh al-Arnaut says:

حديث حسن

The hadith is hasan.

In short, according to Sunnis, Khaula bint Hakim al-Salamiyah was an aunt to the Holy Prophet

Then, we read this:

Narrated Hisham’s father:

Khaula bint Hakim was one of those ladies who presented themselves to the Prophet for marriage. ‘Aisha said, “Doesn’t a lady feel ashamed for presenting herself to a man?” But when the Verse: “(O Muhammad) You may postpone (the turn of) any of them (your wives) that you please,’ (33.51) was revealed, ” ‘Aisha said, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! I do not see, but, that your Lord hurries in pleasing you.’ “
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 48

For now, let us ignore Aisha’s blasphemous comments about Allah (swt). But, what does this seem to suggest? Well, to make things clearer, al-Hafiz al-Asqalani in his commentary of the above hadith in his Fath al-Bari (Dar al-Ma’rifat, Beirut) 9/164 states:

هي خولة بنت حكيم السلمية

She was Khaula bint Hakim al-Salamiyah.

If that is not clear enough, we read:

عن خولة بنت حكيم وكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه سلم تزوجها

Narrated Khaula bint Hakim, and the Messenger of Allah married her ….

Majma’ al-Zawaid 9/418, No. 15410 (declares its chain hasan)

Mu’jam al-Awsat 1/204

So, in other words, the Holy Prophet, according to Sunni books, probably married one of his own aunts?

As for Aisha’s verbal attack against Allah (swt), that should be nothing really. This is because she never believed in the prophethood of Muhammad . Well, before you make any objections, read this. This is from Musnad Abu Ya’la (Dar al-Mamun lil Turath, Damascus, first print, 1984; annotator: Husayn Salim Asad) 8/129 No. 4670. It is Aisha’s angry statement to the Holy Prophet :

ألست تزعم إنك رسول الله ؟

Are you not the one falsely claiming/presuming to be the Messenger of Allah?

This accusation hurt Abubakr, who was present, so much that he slapped her! Well, whatever the case, she said it. And whether Abubakr too was only pretending, in unclear.

Husayn Salim Asad, the annotator, states:

رجاله ثقات

Its narrators are trustworthy.

Q2. Why should we believe a man to  be a prophet of god when his [most beloved] wife did not consider/believe him to be one?
